It’s pretty weird to talk about your ladybits with your female friends, let alone your boyfriend. But after mentioning that I was getting tired of the tampon spiel and how terrible I felt about potentially clogging up the pipes or causing significant damage to the environment, he mentioned that one of his female friends had tried the moon cup and was met with heavy skepticism by other females in the group, including informed environmentalists and female health feminists. I will say that this Moon Cup Menstrual Cup takes some time getting used to. I had to fold and refold about 10 times on my first few attempts, but now getting it in is a breeze, and it doesn’t feel much different than a tampon. Getting it out is still a work in progress sometimes, although after 3 cycles, I’m definitely getting the hang of it. This product is not for the woman who is uncomfortable wearing a tampon. This is the product for the woman who is aware of the risks of TSS and her tampon use on the environment. Cleaning it has never been an issue, and the bag it comes with is very cute and discreet. All in all, a great purchase that I’m quite pleased with!

I was skeptical at first but this is the greatest invention ever! I wish I had known about this a long time ago. I’m 46 years old, heavier periods, messy and yucky every 25 days, really ruining my life. I’ve just used this for the first time with this cycle. There is absolutely NO leaking or mess. (empty more often than every 12 hours if you are heavy.) No bulky pads. I run, ride my bike and do anything I want. No rashes from wearing wet pads. No leaking! This is very easy to use and surprisingly comfortable. Did I mention–No leaking? Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

Good price and an eco friendly alternative,
This is the first menstrual cup I’ve ever possessed. So far I’ve had two menstruations and I’m pleased with the quality of the cup. It came with a dark blue cute little bag that I wasn’t expecting, also a mini folder with clear instructions of use. It is great to save some money and reduce garbage related to menstrual pads, and it eliminates odor from the blood because when I remove it from my vagina the blood doesn’t smell as strong as it would if it was on the pad. I had to cut half of the little stem off because it was too long, not a big deal. The only down side of it is that I occasionally have very strong menstrual cramps and in that scenario the menstrual cup is uncomfortable, so when that happened I removed it and used pads until the cramps were gone. I didn’t have a lot of trouble with inserting and removing the cup, it is not the easiest thing in the universe but it was quick for me to grasp the technique. I certainly recommend this item to all women.
