Don’t be fooled by the low price because these are definitely high-end brushes. I was so excited to receive them today, and I’m pleased to report that I wasn’t disappointed. They’re all silky soft and sturdy. The only brush I haven’t used is the eyeshadow contour brush, but the rest are great.

The powder brush and blush brush pick up just the right amount of product; brushes I’ve had in the past have always picked up too much (especially those sponge things that come with loose powder). Less powder = less caking. I think these are even better than the Bare Escentuals brushes because you have more control (especially the contour brush), and they’re WAY better than anything you’ll ever find at CVS. Applying makeup with these brushes is so fun and feels so good on your face that I honestly don’t want to stop. I’ll be sure to update this review after more use if I find anything bad about them!

UPDATE: Eyeshadow brush is good for blending, but doesn’t pick up much product. I prefer using my sponge applicators first and then blending in the color with this.

These are fantastic brushes. They are very soft and aaaalmost work like real hair. They don’t shed at all. The finishing brush did have some crimped hairs, though, but otherwise it is buttery soft! It deposited just the right amount of pigment. With this, you may never even need a kabuki brush. It would probably work well for blush, too, for a soft effect. The blush brush is very versatile, and the eye shadow brush picks up a lot of pigment and deposits it evenly (it is also very versatile). They lash and brow groomer is okay but not superb. It works.

I purchased them with the 6 piece eye brush set. Between them, they are the perfect nine brushes that you will ever need (although I recommend also buying a foundation and eyeliner brush separately). They are the best brushes you will EVER find for this price and plus they come with a super handy carrying case!
